What the test covers
The learner’s licence test in Paarl is the same national K53 / CLLT exam written everywhere in South Africa. It has three sections — road signs, rules of the road, and vehicle controls — and you must pass each one. Paarl learners can prepare for all three on YOU-DRIVE in English or Afrikaans.
Where you write the test
Your testing centre
The Paarl DLTC is run by Drakenstein Municipality and serves Paarl, Wellington and the surrounding area. Like most Western Cape centres it has moved toward computerised learner's testing.
Booking your test
Bookings go through Drakenstein Municipality's licensing services. Centres in the Winelands fill up, so book early and confirm current dates, fees and requirements directly with the centre or on NaTIS.
YOU-DRIVE is an independent practice platform — we don’t book tests or issue licences. Centre details and rules change, so always confirm directly with the centre or on the official NaTIS website.
